Which Cloud System You Should Choose?

Cloud computing has evolved through a number of phases and it is also reshaping the Indian IT industry. According to Market survey cloud computing in India alone will generate several thousand jobs by the end of this year.

IT infrastructure is one of the important parts of any business and while taking the decision of shifting data into the cloud they have to be very careful. For most of the part business will think whether to transfer data in public cloud, private cloud or hybrid cloud as each cloud system has its own pros and cons.

Private cloud:

It is also called internal cloud and generally protected by a firewall. It offers greater security and control that is why it is suitable for businesses with dynamic and unpredictable needs so that they can control their environment. Private cloud offers a few benefits similar to public cloud these include self-service, scalability, multi tenancy, changing computing resources, etc. Moreover, it also offers hosted services behind a firewall but the access will be limited. Through this company has also control over their data directly.

Public cloud:

Public cloud provides services over internet. It offers a greater level of efficiency. However, it is more vulnerable than the private cloud. Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), IBM’s blue cloud, sun cloud, Google app engine and so on are the examples of public clouds. Public cloud is suitable for the business that needs easy and inexpensive setup, scalability and don’t want to waste resources as they will pay what they will use.

Hybrid Cloud:

A business can also use private as well as public cloud together; the mixture of both is called hybrid cloud deployment. In this organization provides and manages some resources in house and has other provided externally. This also allows users to scale computing beyond the private cloud and into the public cloud which is called cloud bursting. The major benefit of hybrid cloud deployment is the company will only be paying for extra compute resources when they are needed.
